Bird wings and tail feather are made from paper-thin sintered glass powder.
Hummingbirds symbolize joy and light playfulness. This swift bird is known for its speed and wild nature, but is here shown tangled and caged, like a prized possession in a twisted Beauty and the Beast reminiscent story. Made of delicate powdered glass, this piece is about the resilience of the fragile bird while speaking about manipulation and confinement.

102 blown glass balloons, sold upon request
Figure and rocking chair have been sold to a private collector, separate from balloons.
102 blown glass balloons hanging from the 12-foot ceiling which symbolize the lofty dreams of children.
Titled "When I Grow Up", this piece is about reaching for dreams that may be far-fetched or unattainable. The solid figure contrasts the fragile and weightless balloons, and balances precariously on a rocking chair. This piece is about childhood innocence and determination despite naivety.
